Responsibilities
-
Receiving, dispatching, and registering official documents on a daily basis
-
Data entry and reporting for the Technological and Vocational Education Database (faculty and course-related information)
-
Data reporting for the Technological and Vocational Course Resources Platform
-
Revision of departmental organizational regulations and guidelines for various committees
-
Organization and minute-taking for departmental meetings, faculty evaluation committee meetings, curriculum committee meetings, and assistant selection committee meetings
-
Submission of proposals to the University Curriculum Committee, Academic Affairs Meetings, Faculty Evaluation Committee, and University Council
-
Preparation of Chinese and English course syllabi for the Day Program
-
Course scheduling and curriculum revision for the Day Program
-
Handling curriculum planning, instructor assignments, and compilation of teaching workload hours
-
Assisting faculty with teaching schedule arrangements
-
Managing student pre-registration and course selection processes (student lists, course selection records, and confirmation forms)
-
Administration of summer session registration
-
Forwarding faculty-related documentation to relevant administrative units
-
Completion of data surveys and reports requested by the Office of Academic Affairs
-
Processing appointments for full-time and part-time faculty members and assistant appointments
-
Administration of faculty academic activities, including short-term training, workshops, overseas lectures, and study programs
-
Handling faculty promotion applications and review processes for full-time and part-time faculty
-
Co-organizing large-scale academic conferences and seminars (paper management, certificates, and administrative coordination)
-
Assisting with asset inventory and management of consumable supplies for the Day Program
-
Coordinating the selection of departmental committee representatives and university-level meeting delegates
-
Assisting with the loan and management of library and instructional equipment for the Day Program
-
Assisting with the registration and management of specialized classrooms
-
Handling tasks temporarily assigned by the Department Chair
-
Scheduling and reviewing course timetables for the Day Program
-
Managing course selection affairs for college-level programs
-
Processing registration, add/drop, retake, and summer course enrollment matters
-
Administration of faculty academic activities such as lectures and professional development programs
-
Compilation of faculty promotion materials and teaching workload statistics
-
Processing appointments of full-time and adjunct faculty members
-
Organization of Faculty Evaluation Committee, Academic Committee, Curriculum Committee, and student recommendation meetings
-
Handling faculty evaluation affairs
-
Coordination with the Office of Research and Development on faculty-related matters
-
Co-organizing major departmental and university events
-
Administration of industry–academia collaboration affairs
-
Coordination with the Office of Academic Affairs on related matters
